One of my favorite stories that my mother used to tell me was about the kittens and biscuits. She said there was a mama cat that had a litter of kittens and she raised them in a breadbox. But, just because the kittens were raised in a breadbox, didn't make them biscuits. Moral of the story: just because someone is raised in a church, doesn't make them Christians. I heard it once said that when the Rapture happens,  there will be a lot of people still sitting in the pews and  standing behind the pulpit.  "...but the worries that this life and the deceitfulness of wealth..." will cause many to be left behind,  even preachers.  We see all around us greed  of money and power  and it's not hard to see how all of this  will blind people to the truth.  Too many people go to church these days to show their importance in the world and all that they have achieved.  Things of this world--money, jobs, cars, big fine homes,  children, clothes. etc.

 

Jesus said:  “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matt. 6:19-21)

 

It is sad to think that some of the people that are in the congregations today, along with some preachers,  are actually  storing up their treasures here on earth instead of in heaven.  They will have to suffer through, literarily, seven years of hell on earth  because they would not listen and take heed of God's Word.

 

 My friends, those days are approaching quickly, we are living in the end times and Jesus will be coming back for his children soon!  Will you be one of those  that is left behind  or will you be one of those who spend eternity in paradise with Jesus?
