Rature

Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

I just can't tell you how much I hope and pray that I am alive when that day comes--wouldn't that be just be awesome! To be caught up in the clouds with our Lord and Savior, I just can't imagine how glorious that would be. Not only that, but how glorious heaven will be. In 1 Corinthians 2:9, it says But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”--sometimes it's so hard to comprehend; that we just CAN'NOT imagine it! I know our brains can come up with so many things to imagine, but there is NO way to imagine what heaven will be like...Wow!  I suppose it would be like someone who has never seen a tomato and trying to imagine from looking at the seed what the vegetable will look like. All I know is, I am so looking forward to leaving this world of trials and tribulations, pains and persecutions and spending eternity with my Lord and Savior in His magnificent home that He has prepared for me--prepared for all of His children! Come, Lord, soon and take Your children home! Amen.
