Strength and Courage

April 27, 2014

""Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)

My husband just left for North Dakota to start his new job and make plans for our new life out there...I am going to miss him terribly, but I know we are both in God's hands and He will watch over us for a few short months until I can join him in ND. I just pray for strength and guidance. Ted is the most wonderful man or husband I have ever known other than God, Himself! I pray we will have a great life together in North Dakota...we are not getting any younger and need the stability that only God can provide. All your prayers for us will be very welcome and we will be grateful for the prayers.

Looking back at my situation in Germany (being alone for 6 months with no car, no friends, lack of German language skills, drinking myself to death and not having God in my life) and the few months I will be alone now, sober and Saved; it's the difference between night and day. As it says in Romans 8:31-32, "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?…" I know that this time away from my husband is different because God loves us and is watching over us.  Before, in Germany, I had lost my way and God was leading me where He wanted me to be...here, now, today! Me and Ted are going to make it because God wants us to be happy--we are His children and He loves us!
